It is important for you to understand the buying process up front.  We want to provide you the information necessary to assist you throughout the process. Below is some general information you need to know.

Find a Reputable Retailer:

Select a dependable retailer who you can trust to do more than just sell you a house.  HomesPlus will guide you through each step of the process until you are in your new home. Your retailer should have relationships with experienced subcontractors who will partner together to support you from the point of installation all the way to construction items you might need. The retailer is your point of contact for all of your warranty services and assistance of any financing needs. Finding a reputable retailer will benefit you in the long run.  We, at HomesPlus, would like to help you find the home of your dreams.

Property Selection:

There are many options when it comes to selecting property for your home.

• Place a home on land that you own or intend to purchase.
• Place a home on leased property (private lot, planned community or a park).
• Some place their homes on property owned by others such as a relative, etc.

Home Order:

If you are not buying a display model and are custom ordering your home, your housing consultant will review all of your final home decisions to make sure everything has been covered.  Once the order sheet has been signed off by both you and your housing consultant, it will be submitted to the manufacturer to begin the construction of your home. Check with your housing consultant for an approximate timeframe when your home will be delivered to the retail location.  

Home Arrives to Retail Location:

Once your home arrives to the retail location, your housing consultant will contact you to set up an appointment for an initial walk through.    

Initial Systems Check:

Ask your retailer if they perform a systems check after the home is received from the manufacturer.   HomesPlus will perform an initial systems check on your home after it has been received at the retail location and prior to delivery.  We take this opportunity to check your home for any issues before it arrives to your location.   We perform a thorough water, electrical and full systems check.  We complete a walkthrough of your home, making a list of any items needed.  If additional items are needed, we place the order with the manufacturer for you.  Not all retailers perform this check.   HomesPlus will not deliver a home to a location without this system check performed.  

Home Delivery Scheduled:

Your retailer will schedule a tentative date to deliver the home to your location.
